Potty Training
Pumaridge puppies come Newspaper trained this makes Potty Training much easier. When your puppy comes home you will take Newspaper in hand and take puppy out to the place you want him to potty from now on. Putting a leash on him have him go on the paper like he is already used to doing here at Pumaridge and give him the command to go "Potty." The leash confines his area thus prompting him stay where you want him (On the paper). When puppy goes potty praise him till your are sure that the neighbors will hear you and think you are an idiot. I'm not joking make a really big deal out of it. This lets the puppy know he is getting your "positive" attention and he will be looking for that positive attention with everything he does, thus looking to make you the owner happy with him.
Your puppy will usually want to eliminate after walking, eating, drinking and exercising. He may signal this by putting its nose down and sniffing or whining while walking around in circles, sometimes backwards. Quickly pick him up and take him out side where you want him to go. It's helpful to keep Newspapers right by the door for this purpose. It is pointless to punish your puppy after an accident. If you catch him in the act, however, say “NO!” in a stern, loud tone to teach him that he is doing something wrong.
Once Potty training is considered a done deal you can stop putting the Newspaper down at the "Potty Spot" as he now knows this is where Mom and Dad want him to go.

”If you pick up a starving dog
and make him prosperous,
he will not bite you; that is the principal
difference between a dog and a man."
